-    A CopperheadJohn H. Kromer The Civil War-era carte de visite features a caricature depicting William B. Reed as a Copperhead. Reed, a politician and lawyer from Pennsylvania, held pro-Confederacy views which were in conflict with many of his political peers. In the cartoon, Reed's head has been mounted to the body of a snake. 
-    The Empty SleeveA. F. Burnham The CDV features a photographic reproduction of a print entitled "The Empty Sleeve." In the print, an unidentified, one-armed soldier holds a small child in his lap. The child holds the man's empty right sleeve in his hands. 
-    Preparation of Jeff's Flight.Boston Photo Co. The carte de visite features a photo of a cartoon depicting two soldiers and a woman dressing Jefferson Davis in women's clothing inside of a tent. 
-    A Johnson Kicking Out the Freedman BureauThomas Nast The Civil War-era carte de visite features a caricature portrait of Andrew Johnson, who vetoed the Freedman's Bureau bill on 18 February 1866, kicking a literal bureau as dark figures fall from the drawers. The cardboard mount appears to be 20th century product. 
-    H. GreeleyThomas Nast The Civil War-era carte de visite features a caricature portrait of Horace Greeley, editor of the New York Tribune. In the cartoon, Greeley is pictured holding the hand of a newspaper. The newspaper has been drawn with a face and appendages and appears to be in blackface. Broken chains are pictured below the newspaper's hands. Its cardboard mount appears to be 20th century product. 
-    South Carolina Choaker, or the very Last Ditch.W. T. Foster The carte de visite features a photo of a cartoon depicting Jefferson Davis in a dress, hanging from a palmetto tree. 
-    Sec SewardThomas Nast The Civil War-era carte de visite features a caricature portrait of William H. Seward, Secretary of State during the Lincoln administration. In the cartoon, Seward is pictured wearing ancient Roman-era clothing. In his proper right hand he is shown holding a rolled document bearing the words "STATE DEPARTMENT."
