Description

The medal's obverse design features a seated portrait of Abraham Lincoln, the sixteenth President of the United States. His hat rests on a table at his proper left side. Behind him, images of the White House and United States Capitol are pictured. On the reverse, Confederate and United States flags are pictured intersecting at the top of the medal. Several rifles appear behind the flags, and the image of an eagle is placed at the center of the intersection. At the medal's bottom, a decorative border lines the edge.
