Description
The medal's obverse design features a head-only portrait of Alexander Graham Bell, a Scottish-born inventor who is credited with inventing the telephone. The reverse design features three figures: a woman holding a baby with her proper left arm outstretched (left) and a man with his proper right arm outstretched (right). A bolt of electricity shoots between their fingertips. Various celestial bodies are pictured in the background.
