Description
The bronze commemorative medal depicts a bust image of Asa Gray (a botanist) surrounded by oak and laurel branches. The reverse features an image of woman dressed in ancient Greek-style clothing kneeling on the ground. In her proper right hand, she holds a quill and writes on paper that is resting on her proper right leg. In her proper left hand, she holds a flower.
