Description
The medal's obverse design features a left-side bust portrait of John Marshall, the last chief justice to be born a British subject before the Revolutionary War. The medal's reverse design depicts a seated Lady Justice. In her proper right hand, she holds the Scales of Justice, while her proper left hand rests on a column-like structure.
