  The porcelain tile features a reproduction print of Norman Rockwell's Lincoln for the Defense (1962). In the print, Lincoln stands in front of a wooden table holding an almanac in his proper left hand and resting his proper right hand in a closed fist on a book. His appearance is disheveled; he wears a white shirt and pants with a loose tie and undone suspenders. A man in handcuffs sits with a bowed head at the table in the background. The tile was originally mounted in an open wooden frame with a velvet backing, but the tile has since become detached due to the disintegration of the adhesive. On the frame's reverse, a sticker containing documentary information may be found.

  The liquor decanter is shaped into the likeness of Springfield, Illinois's Old State Capitol. It is opaque and painted in hues of brown and cream. On the decanter's front left, a sticker appears featuring the building's name. Another sticker on the front right has been partially removed. At the object's back, a tax label is affixed. The decanter is missing its top, which is made into the likeness of the Capitol's dome. Documentary information is embossed at the decanter's base.

An American flag, army officers, and other officials stand behind Lincoln, who faces an audience. This scene is pictured on both side of the gravy boat, and a floral design appears on the object's handle. There are no markings on the gravy boat's bottom.
