Description
This handwritten letter, dated May 21, 1862, is written from Peleg Clarkee, Jr. to his father, Peleg Clarkee, Sr. informing his father of how best to get letters to him and his impending move. The letter goes on to describe things that are happening around him due to the war and how the citizens are coping and surviving. The letter is written on blue "Office of Fredericksburg Paper Mill Company" letterhead.
