Description
This handwritten invoice, dated May 1862, is for one portable steam sawmill seized at Peleg Clarke's lumber yard in Fredericksburg by military authority for the United States but "fell into Rebel's hands." The sawmill is invoiced for twenty-five thousand dollars.
