Description

This handwritten letter, dated January 26, 1870, is written from Vinnie Reams to Mrs. Nealy. The letter mentions the Lincoln statue that Reams is sculpting and his pleasure at the model of it being so highly regarded by his friends and neighbors. The letter goes on to describe some of his other artistic endeavors and invites her to write to him often. A note identifying Vinne Reams as a sculptor is written in pencil along the left edge of the firs page of the letter. A typed transcript of the letter is included.
