Description

This typed letter, dated May 20, 1916, is written from Hugh McClellan to Richard Hoxie as a reply to Hoxie's letter and speaks of Mrs. Hoxie's promise to send him a copy of her book and expresses his thanks to Hoxie for sending the promised book while Mrs. Hoxie was ill and subsequently died. The letter concludes with McClellan speaking of his involvement in the construction of the "very, very few" Memorial Lighthouses.
