Description

This is a black and white illustration of Black Hawk, the Sauk war chief and namesake of the Black Hawk War in 1832. He has a tall mohawk hair style and is wearing a white shirt and dark blanket with a beaded necklace and a medallion with someone's face on it. The illustration was scanned from volume one of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
