Description
This black and white illustration is of Abraham Lincoln. Lincoln is depicted in a dark coat and tie with a white shirt. An inscription is depicted inside the illustration box reads, "For Mrs. Lucy G. Speed from whose pious hand I accepted the present of an Oxford Bible twenty years ago. Washington, D. C. October 3, 1861 A. Lincoln." Lincoln's name is captioned beneath the illustration with the description "From a Photograph sent to Mrs. Lucy G. Speed" below the caption. This illustration is from volume five of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
