Description

This black and white photograph is of Archbishop John Hughes, a prelate of the Roman Catholic Church in the United States who founded St. John's College, which would later become Fordham University. A sash is at his waist and he is wearing a cross necklace on a long chain that rests the cross at his waste. A drape is behind his left shoulder.
