Description
This black and white illustration is of Thomas L. Rosser, also known as Tex Rosser, was best known for his “hit and run” raids as a Confederate officer in the American Civil War. Rosser is depicted waring a gray, double-breasted military uniform with star-studded collar tabs. The artist's name, Charles B. Hall, is named along the bottom edge of the illustration and Rosser's signature is depicted below. The illustration is from volume nine of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
