Description
This black and white illustration is of Edward D. Baker, an American politician, lawyer, and US army officer. The illustration depicts Baker in his army uniform with a sash and epaulettes. His signature is depicted beneath the illustration with his typed name beneath it. "[Commissioned Major General after his death]" is beneath his name. The photographer of the photo from which the illustration is based on and the engraver's frame the lower left and right edge of the illustration. The illustration is within volume two of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
