Description
This is an illustration of the house where Abraham Lincoln's parents, Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks were married. The is a small wood cabin with a door on each end and trees on either end, as well. A small tree stands in front and people can be seen standing in the doorway on the left end. The caption beneath the illustration reads "House near Beechland, Kentucky, in which Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks were married. The illustration appears in volume one of Abraham Lincoln : A History by John G. Nicolay and John Hay.
