Description
This handwritten document orders Lieutenant John w. Turner to proceed to New York in pursuit of Private Charles R. Wheeler, a deserter from Lt. Cl. J's Artillery. Turner is ordered to work with local authorities to apprehend Wheeler and return him to the proper military authorities. The orders are signed by J. Bankhead Magruder.
