The cover is blue and bears the simple title, "An Address on Abraham Lincoln" followed by the author's name, the date of the address and the subtitle "Before the Grande Lodge of Masons of Iowa." An inscription by the author is on the inside of the cover and an illustration of the author is on the first page.
