The poster is a promotional item released by Truman State University to advertise an event during a three-semester series commemorating the two hundredth anniversary of the birth of Abraham Lincoln. On the poster is a vignette image of Lincoln's right-side profile that fades into an illustration of the United States flag. The image is signed by the artist, Trimborn. The remainder of the poster promotes a gala concert featuring the Wind Symphony, conducted by Dan Peterson; Jack Magruder, narrator; Adam Davis; Thomas Hueber; Jay Bulen; and Thomas Trimborn.
