Nineteenth century print; ""Early Home of the Lincolns in Illinois."" The image depicts a bucolic scene with tress, lumber and a small wooden cabin. There is a man depicted walking with an hatchet. There is also a woman standing inside of the cabin. Around the house is a log fence.

recto, bottom: "EARLY HOME OF THE LINCOLNS IN ILLINOIS./ Located in Macon County, in the Sangamon Valley, about ten miles from Decatur. It was here, during the first year, that Abraham Lincoln and John Hanks split several thousand rails. Lincoln was about twenty years of age at this time."
