In the foreground of the image, there are depictions of wounded soldiers and a broken cannon. In the center of the image, a union solider on horse back directs others toward the front line. There are also renderings of Confederate and Union soldiers advancing. In the background of the image, there is a depiction of cloudy sky with large visible trees.
