Description

The wood plaque features a portrait image of Abraham Lincoln from the waist up. Beneath the image, five Lincoln quotations are printed. These include excerpts from Lincoln's 20 November 1860 speech in Springfield, Illinois; 17 February 1860 address at New York; 19 November 1863 Gettysburg Address; 10 April 1865 Second Inaugural Address; and a fragment of a quotation from 1 July 1854. The portrait and text appear to be printed directly onto the wooden plaque. On the plaque's reverse, a saw tooth picture hanger is mounted at the top.
