Description

1- The Secretary of Veterans Affairs has announced he is halting a test program to allow some non-veterans to be treated in veterans hospitals. Many veterans groups opposed the idea and now the Secretary has nixed it. What is your reaction?; 2- At a House Armed Services Committee hearing last week, Secretary of Defense Dick Cheney and Joint Chiefs Chairman General Colin Powell presented their idea of what the military force structure should look like over the next five years. What did you think of the plan?; 3- The House Budget committee has been presented with several options relation to defense spending for FY1993. One of those plans would cut defense by as much as $200 billion over a five year period and another would cut it by $164 billion. Would you have concerns about major cuts like these?;
