Description

Speaking with Representative Buddy Darden of Georgia; 1- Buddy has taken the lead in fighting a proposal by Major League Baseball that would force the superstations, like WIBS in Atlanta, to black out telecasts of baseball games in certain areas of the country. This is not an issue you would normally expect to come before congress, Buddy. What is this all about?; 2- I have had a lot of calls from Mississippians about this. As I understand it, Central Mississippi would not be affected by the Brave blackout, since we are in Atlanta?╟╓s ?╟úhome market?╟Ñ, but we would all be affected if the games were taken off the superstations. If the proposal goes through, that is possible, isn?╟╓t it?; 3- What do you think the prospects are for this proposal passing Congress?;
