Transcription

The State of Mississippi, Lowndes County, charged Daniel Baldwin, laborer, with keeping a disorderly house on May 1, 1854. Specifically, Baldwin allowed both men and women, enslaved and white persons, to gather at his house, during both day and night, to engage in drinking, tippling, cursing, swearing, and misbehaving.
