Description

Decision of the Orphan's Court awarding the estate of Joseph Barnard to William Cochran, husband of the late Jane Barnard, widow of Joseph Barnard. Inventory of the estate includes the following enslaved persons: Adam, Winney, Sam, Frank, Jack, Dick, Toby, Clarinda and Betsy. Cochran is noted as having already appropriated Phillis and her child for his use. Harry, John, Fergus, and Aminta are noted as being free and unencumbered and available to the children of Joseph Barnard, deceased.
