In the name of God Amen. – I Richard Cory of sound mind and memory but very low in bodily health and strength do hereby make my last Will and Testament in the manner following, viz. First, I do recommend and commit my soul to the Almighty God who gave it, and my body to be in a decent manner to be laid in the Earth. Secondly it is my desire that Nathan H. Luse to be my Executor, and that all my property that I own hold or claim at this time movable and immovable, real and personal be divided and dispersed of in the following manner: That is to say one third of all as mentioned above to be to the use and disposal of my dear & and loving Wife Prudence Cory; the remaining two thirds to be equally divided amongst my children. And it is my desire that the family remain together and the property in the guidance and care of my said Wife and Executor unto such time as my son Jeremiah comes of age. In testimony whereof the above to be my wish and desire I hereby prefix and place my hand and seal this seventeenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten. Attest L-?
