The plaque located at the base of the tree that was dedicated reads "Ulysses S. Grant (1822-1885) Memorial Tree Overcup Oak Quercus lyrata Given in Honor of the 18th President of the United States on the bicentennial of his birth by the Ulysses S. Grant Association April 27, 2022.) The Ulysses S. Grant Tree Dedication Ceremony was part of the 2022 Ulysses S. Grant Association Annual Meeting and Grant Bicentennial Celebration.
