Description

This handwritten V-Mail (Victory Mail) letter, dated January 7, 1944, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in Italy, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter informs her that he has been evacuated to a different hospital with the possibility of being evacuated again. The letter goes on to describe his injury. The War and Navy Departments V-Mail Service is postmarked January 24, 1944.
