Description

This handwritten V-Mail (Victory Mail) letter, dated January 25, 1944, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in North Africa, to Edna and Harry Hodge, in Laurel, Mississippi. The letter describes the incident in combat that injured his leg, his time in the hospitals in Italy, and how things are going in North Africa. The War and Navy Departments V-Mail Service envelope is postmarked U. S. Army, February 9, 1944 and has a handwritten note on it.
