Description

This handwritten letter, dated March 16, 1944, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in North Africa, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter describes a visit he had from an officer from Tupelo, some items he's received in the mail, and what life is like in the hospital ward. He claims that he and other patients call the ward "Club 16 because it is more like a hotel than a hospital." The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Service, A. P. O., March 17, 1944.
