Description
This handwritten V-Mail (Victory Mail) letter, dated September 1, 1943, is written by Major Rollin S. Armstrong from the open sea, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter describes his trip overseas and he reveals that he is headed to North Africa. The letter is partially censored with black ink.
