Description

This handwritten V-Mail (Victory Mail) letter, dated September 18, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in North Africa, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter describes his recent visit to Oran, a town in North Africa, the conditions and people living there. The envelope is postmarked New York, New York September 28, 1943, Grand Central Annex.
