Description

This handwritten letter, dated October 11, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in North Africa, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter discusses the rugs he has shipped to her, the impending birth of their baby, and his anticipation for Christmas. The letter is written on United States Army stationary with the eagle and shield logo in the top center. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army A. P. O., October 12, 1943. "Passed by Base Army Examiner " is ink stamped in the lower left corner with Rollin Armstrong's signature over it.
