Description

This handwritten letter, dated November 16, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in Italy, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter asks after her and their son's health and discusses Christmas gifts and other personal affairs. A typed letter is included to Rebecca from "H. L. A." stating that the letter from Rollin Armstrong had been sent to the wrong address and had been opened by mistake. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army 2nd Base Post Office, November 16, 1943 and is addressed to Ocean Springs instead of Tupelo where Rebecca Armstrong is living at that time.
