Description

This handwritten letter, dated December 1, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in Italy, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter describes his vision of what Christmas at home with her would look like and then goes on to describe his activities on the front and his thoughts on the continuation of the war. The letter goes on to request that she send him cigars and advises her not to get too maternal with their infant son. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Postal Service A. P. O., December 4, 1943.
