Description

This handwritten letter, dated December 7, 1943, is written by Rollin S. Armstrong from where he is stationed in Italy, to his wife, Rebecca Armstrong, in Tupelo, Mississippi. The letter asks if she's seen all their accomplishments toward the war on the news and reminds her that he is a part of it all. The letter goes on to describe his lack of opportunity to bathe or change clothes, asks after their infant son, and reminds her to send both cigars and photos of herself and the baby. The envelope is postmarked U. S. Army Postal Service A. P. O., December 9, 1943.
