Description
Letter from H. S. Jemison in Sparta, Mississippi, to Judge Thomas Nelson Martin, regarding Jemison's plan to join a camp in Florida and his need for money for new clothes for the army. He also writes about slave matters, including discussion of the hiring out of the slave Jarrett, and bringing his Negro ""boy"" to the army camp with him. 1864.
