Description

This handwritten receipt, dated December 27, 1858, documents payments made to G. G. Davids for tuition for Thomas W. Darden, son of John P. Darden, for t three months of school for a total of $15.00. A note at the bottom of the receipt declares the receipt as a certification that Thomas W. Darden attended G. G. Davis's school in Fayette, Mississippi for fifty-six days form September 28, 1858.
