Description

This handwritten receipt is for the purchase of a side saddle and bridle made by Thomas L. Darden from C. Statman in Natchez on September 26, 1865. An orange two cent George Washington postage stamp is on the left center of the page and the upper left corner of the paper is ripped. The paper also has several creases on the left side.
