Description

This handwritten account statement lists various household items including guns, tobacco, and hair pins, etc., purchased by John P. Darden and Josephine Darden for a total of $53.70 and $22.27, respectively. The items were purchased from D. Wertheimer in Fayette, Mississippi from December 1865 to February 1866 and billed in March 1866. An orange, two cent George Washington postage stamp is in the center of the statement.
