Description
This stock certificate, numbered at 147 and dated January 8, 1872, for Jefferson County Planters, Mechanics, and Manufacturers Association certifies that Thomas L. Darden has paid twenty-five dollars for one share which constitutes him a stock holder of the Association which is located in Fayette, Mississippi. The stock certificate is signed by J. J. Whitney, the association's president and Ro. W. Campbell, the association's secretary. The certificate bears the image in the upper center of a woman milking a cow while a man and a child stand near the fence and several cattle surround them.
