Description

This handwritten letter, dated October 27, 1860, is written from A. L. Sholinh to John P. Darden informing Darden that Sholinh's brother, Bourbon was absent when the bonds that he needed to sign arrived and thus caused a delay. Sholinh assures Darden that the matter will be settled as he is intent on being a responsible gentleman. Sholinh concedes that the title can be handled in the manner in which Darden suggested.
