Description

This handwritten letter, dated September 19, 1860, is written from J. C. and B. S. Ricks and Co. to John P. Darden informing him that they received 9 bales of cotton for his account to be sold at the first favorable opportunity. The letter goes on to inform Darden that 8 bales were sold on his behalf the previous day.
