Description

This color picture postcard features a woman in a white evening gown with a red cape, a Miss America sash and elbow length gloves. She is also wearing a crown on her head and is carrying a gold schepture. She is standing in front of cream colored fabric and palm fronds are visible on either side of her. The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides photographer and publisher information as well as indication for address and postage stamp placement. The description in the upper left corner reads "Lynda Lee Meade Miss Mississippi Selected Miss America for 1960 at the National Finals of the Miss America Pageant at Atlantic City, New Jersey, September 12, 1959 competing with 54 other contestants representing 50 states including Canada."
