Engine number 382 is featured in this black and white photograph with four men standing on the tracks beside the engine and two men pictured standing and seated in the engine's cabin. Trees are seen behind the engine. A note typed on the back of the photograph identify the engine as having been the same one that Casey Jones was killed in on April 30, 1900 at Vaughn, Mississippi. The note goes on to say that the photograph was taken after the engine was rebuilt in the Paducah Shops in Paducah, Kentucky. A red ink stamp for Jay's Caboose in Greensboro, Alabama is beneath the typed note.

The cathedral has spires on each end and a bell tower with a tall steeple topped with a cross. Bushes surround the statue of General Jackson. Another building is seen to the left of the cathedral. A brief history of Jackson Square, the site of Bienville's "Place D'Armes," in New Orleans is printed on the back of the card.

This is a black and white photograph of Lynda Mead, Miss America, 1960, wearing a crown, a formal gown with white goves and carrying roses. The photograph is signed in white ink “To Aggie, with every good wish—Lynda Mead, Miss America, 1960.” The photograph is mounted on a board. Lynda Lee Shea (née Mead; born April 17, 1939) attended Natchez High School and the University of Mississippi, where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority, and won the Miss America pageant in 1960. Her immediate predecessor as Miss America, Mary Ann Mobley (the first Miss America from Mississippi), was Mead’s sorority sister at Chi Omega. She also served as Miss Mississippi in 1959.

The back of the postcard identifies the item as a postcard and provides photographer and publisher information as well as indication for address and postage stamp placement. The description in the upper left corner reads "Lynda Lee Meade Miss Mississippi Selected Miss America for 1960 at the National Finals of the Miss America Pageant at Atlantic City, New Jersey, September 12, 1959 competing with 54 other contestants representing 50 states including Canada."

This is a black and white photograph of Joseph E. Johnston, an American career army officer, an executive in the railroad and insurance businesses, and a Democrat in the United States House of Representatives, serving a single term. He was appointed as commissioner of railroads under Grover Cleveland. In the photograph, Johnston is seated, facing the left and wearing a dark suit and white shirt. The photograph is mounted on a black board and Johnston's signature is in the white border directly beneath the photograph. A typed descripton of the photograph and a brief biography of Johnston is on the back of the board.
