Description
This stereoview card features a black and white image of Jackson Square in New Orleans, Louisiana. A statue of General Andrew Jackson on horseback stands in the middle of the square with a view of the Cathedral of St. Louis behind it. The cathedral has spires on each end and a bell tower with a tall steeple topped with a cross. Bushes surround the statue of General Jackson. Another building is seen to the left of the cathedral. The title of the card is printed long the lower right edge of the card. The publisher is printed on each end of the card. A brief history of Jackson Square, the site of Bienville's "Place D'Armes," in New Orleans is printed on the back of the card.
