Description

This is a black and white albumen photograph featuring a probable or supposed Sioux warrior from the chest up with headdress, hoop earrings, arm band, neck scarf, and fringe strands on either side of his chest. The photograph is damaged along the left side and is pasted on a paper with the following information at the top: Alexander Historical Auctions LLC 98 Bohemia Ave. Ste 2 Chesapeake City, MD 21915 203-276-1570 www.historyauctioneers.com. The information typed above the photo describes the photograph as follows: Albumen photograph of an Indian Warrior Mounted albumen photograph, 5 14" x 3 34", shows a (probable) Sioux warrior from the chest up with headdress. Damage includes a long, clean vertical tear marginal losses, wrinkles, etc. Mounted. Estimate: $200 - $300 Loc.
