[on the back] Water Valley, Miss Aug 17-13 My dear:- I think of you so often and I wait to write you a letter and never get that done. I have kept house all Summer and have had a great deal of company but now I am leaving for Jackson to spend anoher year. I have tomorrow and My! how I do dread it. I have burned a truck of family letters and it smokes me so blue to go over the family things [on the front at the top] and pack them up. We may close the home this winter and it makes it so hard to pack on uncertainty and hard any way. Please write me at Belhaven for I will be so lonesome until School opens. Tell me your plans too, won't you. Yours with love Blair [on the front along the bottom] You will think I am blue all the time but I am not. You realize now why I was so blue last Summer. [sic]
