Description
This card includes Mississippi’s State Seal in the upper half and the State Flag and State Flower on the lower half of the card. The State Song “Mississippi” by Mrs. Dunbar Rowland is printed, along with its chorus between the seal and the bottom images. The back of the card is addressed to Mrs. Clarence Calvin in Nebraska. The location of the postmark is missing but the date is October 21, 1944 and a green, one cent George Washington postage stamp is placed in the upper right corner. An inscription is written on the left half of the card. [see transcription field]

Hello: Yes, I had a birthday the 7th of Sept. I was 34. Isn't that your age too? Thanks for pretty cards. If you have one of your state similar to this one please send it tio me. Write soon. Sincerely, Audrey Bennett [sic]
